Overview
With rising Covid cases and increasing health problems, it is difficult for parents to manage their children’s madrassah along with regular schooling, let alone find quality Islamic education. Al-Rushd addresses this issue by providing a convenient way to teach Islamic studies to your child without the need to step out of the house. Al-Rushd offers a unique online Madrassah program which covers a number of topics; Arabic Language, Quran, Islamic Studies, Moral Studies and Tarbiyyah. The children are taught in a very enjoyable and interactive manner by combining modern teaching methods with traditional texts.
- The Madrassah starts with with Qaidah, which primarily focuses on recognition, articulation and pronunciation of the letters. At this step, the students learn to get comfortable with the Arabic script and become confident in spelling words and phrases. The Qaidah is the first but the most important step for learning correct recitation. Mastering the Qaidah results in learning the perfect recitation of the Holy Quran.
- Once the students have mastered the Qaidah, they move on to the recitation, starting from Juz Amma, progressing to the complete the Holy Quran. The teachers keep a close eye on the students’ tajwid and fluency to ensure they are following the rules of recitation correctly.
- Moreover, the students are also taught everyday Duas and Surahs and encouraged to make a habit of practically reciting them at their respective dues. Surah memorization starts from short Surahs from Juz Amma, gradually progressing to selected longer Surahs such as Surah Mulk and Surah Yasin.
- For building Islamic knowledge and intellect (Tarbiyyah), the students are taught Islamic history, Islamic manners, Sirah of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) and Islamic beliefs and principles.
